Waste Reduction and Growth improvement are visually apparent using Saki-Hikari!

Experiments at Hikari Aquatic Laboratory
The Rapid, becterial decomposition of the Goldfish's waste caused by the “Hikari Germ” drastically reduces builtup in the filter media thereby reducing the frequency of regularlyscheduled maintenance. Overall improvement of the water clarity and condition are side benefit of this process.

Effect of Hikari Germ -1

Accelerated Excrement Breakdown
We have checked and verified the volume and composition of the waste from each subject aquarium, samples were collected on a regular basis and stored in a glass test tube for easy viewing and inspection. As you can see below, the amount of waste from LEFT) tank was less than that of the RIGHT) and the composition was powder-like in form. Studies confirm that the Hikari Germ became the priority bacteria in the intestinal tract increasing the intestine’s ability to breakdown the waste during the assimilation process.

One of our tests involved the study of excrement in from two distinct situations;
LEFT) Ranchu Fed food with Hikari Germ
RIGHT) Ranchu Fed food without Hikari Germ

Reduce Filter Load & Cleaning
The subject tanks were then examined for the amount of waste collected in the filter media. After approximately 1 month period there was a noticeable difference in the amount of waste collected from the subject tanks.
After thoroughly rinsing the filter and precipitating out the collected sludge, the volume of raw waste collected in each filter was measured. Test results showed the tank fed food with Hikari-Germ almost half the waste of the tank fed food without Hikari-Germ. To further examine the effectiveness of Hikari-Germ the filter material was allowed to completely dry.

One of our tests involved the study of excrement in from two distinct situations;
LEFT) Ranchu Fed food with Hikari Germ
RIGHT) Ranchu Fed food without Hikari Germ

Having started with filter media weighing exactly the same amount, test results showed the filter material from the Hikari-Germ tank weighed 40% less than that of the food without Hikari-Germ tank. Under identical feeding scenarios, Hikari-Germ proved to significantly increase digestion while reducing waste output.

RIGHT) Ranchu Fed food without Hikari Germ

Effect of Hikari Germ -2

We have checked and verified the feeding efficacy when Hikari-Germ is added into the fish food. Note : Below result was obtained from the food especially made for this experiments and not from Saki-Hikari Fancy Goldfish

Test Data

Test period
18 days
Test fish
Nishikigoi, less than 1 year old
# of fish
30
Feeding amount
2 % of the body weight per day

The improvement in the feeding efficiency was experienced for Ranchu. Test results show noticeably improved digestion and absorption rates as a result of Hikari-Germ being added to the fish's daily feeding. The affect of Hikari-Germ is more noticeable in situations where the fish are under heavy load or when excessive feeding is necessary. Our research shows that fish under unusual stress respond much more favorably to the inclusion of Hikari-Germ in their diet.
